When numbers 6, 7 and 8 talk back

born again

the dead spoke to me
that book unfolded an old mystery
of who done it with just numbers 

John the Baptist leaping
six months out of Elizabeth's womb
when Mary's feet went to greet
her pregnant cousin 
John kicked.

an opening act before the headliner took center stage
his spirit transcending language
telling his mom life was 
also in Mary's womb

how can an unborn child
feel a presence 
that has just taken form?

but that’s what happens
when creation recognizes its Creator

Mary got pregnant before she got pregnant 
a paradox
that she carried two births
the spiritual promise made to Adam

then bore the physical one
when she said YES may it be done
this child, Jesus coming after John
shaped on month seven

so even numbers themselves realize 
who's their maker
old creation was done in six 
chaos to rest in seven

and eight is the number they say means
new life, resurrection, starting again
not in different body
but in this one
with breath that’s been borrowed
and given back

and now it hits me
my life finally makes sense
in 2023, I was 24
a year later, I turned 25
now, I’m 26

that’s six… I’m still human
seven… I’m complete
eight… I’m resurrected

walking out this pattern
not just biologically
but spiritually

a countdown turned inside out
like heaven’s been marking my growth
in sacred numbers
what are the odds?

or maybe that’s no mystery
to be born again on eight.
