but no one told me that
the feeling would wear off
even the label didn’t have a warning sign

danger: 
this feeling will evaporate like vapor
the kind of refrain
the wise old guy from Ecclesiastes
would keep saying over and over again
everything is vapor

the tighter you grab onto it
the faster it flies away

if I had just looked closer
I would’ve seen that smirk
on the nice cashier’s face

her look was basically
really?
you’re sure about this?

you know there’s no return to that moment
that feeling right now
will evaporate as soon as it came
no giving back

everything is but vapor.
