what flowers quietly mean
sunflowers
sunflowers go low
bending their body to
just get a glimpse of Sunlight
the reality is
their crooked back
never meant weakness
needs no straightening for strength
what a picture of life
telling us
a thousand words in one branch
even when they’re taken
out of the Sun
out of the soil
they used to call home
sunflowers curve their bodies
just a little east in the garden
to their Creator
always.Heart Call:
I left one sunflower laying on my nightstand. Four hours later, it was almost dead. I put it in water. Its thirst was quenched.
The following morning, it came back to life. As if nothing had ever happened. Its source had become water. And it turned out that was what revived it.
That’s really life—where we always need God to strengthen us in every season.
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands. —Psalm 19:1 (NIV)
What little things can you draw inspiration from this week?
Maybe it’s a flower.
Maybe it’s something small and ordinary that quietly reflects the beauty of God back to you when you slow down enough to notice.
