you can’t fill her potholes with your lies
you can’t steal her peace
her security
her mind
she’s been filled by Him
no cracks left for you to seep through
she don’t play no stories no more
she ain’t a wound to nurse no more
that’s something she bled for
and can’t shrink to fit in that pothole
just like before
remnant ruins don’t stare back no more
your ego can’t mess with her mind
it only threatens
but it won’t undo
the healing she fought so hard for
she chose her sanity
she knows proximity and access
are not the same thing
that title is not character
that résumé virtues
can’t compare to eulogy virtues
those ink fade on paper
while the other mark others forever
that’s a new reality
she’s living now
the one you knew
died and got buried back there
she won’t come back
even if you resist
her change
she just—
ain’t here no more.
Heart Call:
Change expose your true character, and those around you. But it’s not your responsibility to shrink back to who they knew
How can you keep walking in the authority God has given you?
