She ain’t here no more
that's no secret
she ain’t here no more and I went to her funeral you can’t find any potholes to fill with your lies you can't steal her peace her security her mind she’s been filled by Him secured fortress like the Citadelle Laferrière defying enemies, weather, and time with no cracks for you to leak through she don’t play no stories it’s not her job to build a narrative she lifts her chin tall and she speaks she ain’t a wound to nurse no more that’s something she bled for and can’t shrink to fit in that pothole just like she did for you before she just won’t bend one can choose to cuff her words to last season filter her voice today as weakness but that’s just chained perception to her résumé virtues can’t compare to eulogy virtues that ink fades on paper while the other marks others forever she knows that applause is not character water can flow from dirty wells too but drinking it — that’s something else she just won’t do tear her down? that can’t mess with her mind it only threatens but it won’t undo the healing she fought so hard for that weak version you're still holding onto she died back there and got buried with Him she won’t come back even if you resist her change she just— ain’t here. no more.
Heart Call:
People struggle when their mental “file” of you doesn’t match your current reality.
They filter every decision you make, every word and conversation, through that old version of you. That says more about their limitations. And nothing about your growth, friend.
How can you keep stepping in the authority God has already given you (your old self has been buried with Him)?
(Romans 6:4) (Galatians 2:20)What boundaries do you need to vocalize this season?
